The Peoria Tribal Burial Program Death Benefits are $5000 per member.
Burial assistance policies have not changed. All Burial Assistance Applications must be completed and returned with an original of the death certificate no later than ninety (90) days from the date of death. All deceased must be enrolled members of the Peoria Tribe.

In July an independent contractor, GPR, was contracted to use ground penetrating radar to identify burial locations within the Peoria Tribal Cemetery. They found over 100 unmarked and unidentified gravesites. The staff of the Peoria Tribal Environmental Department marked each unmarked grave with a piece of rebar for future location purposes. A map and listing was compiled of all the known gravesites, by name, with birth and death dates as available.
