Miami, Oklahoma Members of the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma on Saturday, March 1, 2014, casts their votes to fill the position of Chief of the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma. Results of the election were: P J Attocknie, 64 votes, and John P. Froman, 96 votes, with Chief John P. Froman, the incumbent, declared elected. The term of office is four years.

Only one candidate had filed for one of two positions open on the Grievance Committee. Lela Kay Stand was declared elected by the Election Committee and will serve a term of four years.

A Special Election was called to fill the remaining vacant position on the Grievance Committee and was scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2014. Only one candidate filed to fill the position on the Grievance Committee so the Special Election has been cancelled by the Tribal Election Committee and Hank Downum has been declared by the Tribal Election Committee as elected. Mr. Downum took his Oath of Office at the Peoria Council meeting on Saturday,
March 1.
